Symptom

The order of the search results while registering users in scheduled offerings may differ for different admins or even on different days

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In the Learning Administration go to Learning > Scheduled Offerings and run a search to select a scheduled offering
  2. Now click the green plus to add users to the scheduled offering
  3. Run an open search now for users that could be added to the scheduled offering
  4. If different admins run this search they may see a different order for the results than other admins

Cause

  • Adding users to a scheduled offering uses the same search as the main user search
  • The main user search is available by going to Users > Users
  • If the order of the search results here have been modified by clicking on one of the column names, the change will also be reflected in the registration search

Resolution

  1. To change the order of the search results in the scheduled offering registration you must change the order in the main user search
  2. Go to Users > Users and run through a search
  3. Now select a column name in the results to sort by that column
  4. Select the column again to change from ascending to descending, or descending to ascending
  5. These changes will also be reflected in the schedule offering registration search
