The reports in the "EC Standard Reports" bundle supplied with implementation of ODS/Realms for Advanced Reporting contain some validation errors.
Why does a set of standard reports contain errors "out of the box"?
How can the errors be resolved?
SuccessFactors Advanced Reporting in the Online Report Designer
The bundles delivered by SuccessFactors are not complete all-purpose reports but rather report templates. Customers' databases vary too much for a report with any complexity to work for everyone. Validation errors are an indication that your Employee Central schema differs from the standard somehow, which is not necessarily a bad thing as it has probably resulted from customisation. Often an element is missing because it isn't used in your data, but existing data can also be in non-standard formats.
If validation errors are accompanied by Edit or Delete options, you can try these first. Edit will search for alternative fields that can be used and let you select one if possible, and Delete will simply remove the problem element from the query. Resolving these errors may also cascade and resolve accompanying errors that don't have Edit/Delete options. Once all validation errors are resolved you will have a working report of some description which you can then copy and/or edit. If the errors cannot be resolved it is most likely because the report is not supported by the expected data and is not suitable for the schema on your instance, though you may attempt to create your own version.
