2322637 - Custom fields do not show up in Ad Hoc Reporting

Symptom

In Employee Central, if you setup a custom-string field with a new label and enable this field in the system, the field does not appear in Ad Hoc Reporting.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Cloud
  • Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In Manage Business Configuration, under Personal Information, add a custom-string field and change the label
  2. Permission this field so users have access to the field
  3. Navigate to Ad Hoc Reporting and notice the field does not display under the new name provided in the label in step 1

Resolution

Ad Hoc Reporting will use the custom field ID rather than the label of the field. For example, if a field is added using custom-string7 with a label of 'Legal First Name', the field in Ad Hoc Reporting will be listed as custom-string7.
