2309959 - Report Navigation - Characteristic Value Is Not Transferred

Symptom

You have created a report navigation from report ABC to report DEF. In this report navigation, you have set up several characteristics with type Transferred, so the value from the report should be filtered for in the target report. Once you open the target report however, you see that the value was not transferred.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the source report ABC from the respective work center.
  2. Click on a value in one of the report fields. Let us assume that this value is Account = 100. It is in the same line as the opportunity 123.
  3. Select the target report DEF.

Once the target report opens, you see that it was not filtered by the opportunity 123. The Opportunity field is set to Transferred, so you would expect the value to be transferred to the target report.

Cause

The navigation framework transfers the characteristic values of the clicked cell as well as the cells on the left side of the clicked cell. In our example, Opportunity was to the right of Account. So if clicking on Account, the Opportunity ID cannot be transferred to the target report, even if the transfer type is Transferred.

Resolution

Please move the field to be transferred to the left side of the field you are navigating from.
