2302331 - How can I make the New Employee Step assigned to the New Hire Name- Onboarding


  • At the New Employee step the New Hire is being assigned to the Admin and not the New Employee's Name.

Reproducing the Issue

  • After completion of the Post Hire Verification Step the New Employee activity is in the work queue assigned to the Admin.


  • The New Employee Step activity will be assigned to the admin as a default and is expected behavior.  This is caused because the New Employee Proecess Step does not have an assignee of New Employee therefore the activity will default and assign to the Admin.


  1. If you have access to Super Admin please follow these steps below to fix.  If you do not have access to Super Admin please open a ticket for one of our Cloud Product Support Engineers to  resolve this issue for you.
  2. Go to Super Admin and find your account
  3. Select  Processes
  4. Select New Employee Step

     5.  On the right side select Assign Options as seen in the screen shot below.

     6. If your screen appears as seen below then you need to select Edit.  If for some reason this screen is blank you need to ADD ASSIGNEE  under Tasks. Then you will see the screen below and can follow these steps.

      7, First step change Mode to "KEY" step 2 add the value  {EmployeeLogin} step 3 Select Add


     8. Please go back and check to make sure the updates are set.  If for some reason they did not take go back to step 6 and select Edit enter your updates but this time select UPDATE.
