Regarding the information request, the select list comes from the user workflow.
1. Go to System Admin
2. Go to Security
3. Go to Role Management
4. Select "your" user Default role
5. Go to Workflows
6. Go to Learning
7, And see if you have added the Access Curriculum Status and Access External Learning Request
If not go to add one or more from list and add them
