2292221 - Activity is Read-Only; Settings Cannot be Changed While Accessing Activity in Business Configuration Overview

Symptom

In Business Configuration Overview, when you try to edit or use Change Immediately in any activity, system throws the below message:

"Activity is read-only; settings cannot be changed

Activity is read only. To edit this activity, add it to your project"

Environment

SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer 1711 and higher.

SAP Business ByDesign 1711 and higher.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center;
  2. Select Overview view;
  3. Search for activity XYZ (where XYZ is any activity);
  4. Select Edit or select Change Immediately.

Cause

The activity XYZ is not added to the Change Project or you don't have an "open" project (Status: Started) on your test tenant.

Resolution

To edit the activity XYZ, you need to follow the below steps:

  1. Go to Business Configuration work center;
  2. Select Implementation Projects view;
  3. Highlight the change project and select Open Activity List;
  4. Show All Activities;
  5. Select the Fine-Tune tab;
  6. Search for activity XYZ;
  7. Select Add to Project button.
