Employee Central - Employment Details

1. Enter profile of affected employee 
2. Check Hire date under Job Information                                                                                                                                                      
3. Check Hire date under Employment details  
4. The Hire dates are different

• To change the Hire Date for an employee, Hire Date and first record on Job History Portlet should have the same date. And then changing the first Job History record event date will reflect the changes in hire date.
• Hire Date/Start Date on hire record can only be changed using the hire date correction tool.

Previously, it was necessary to change past and present hire dates in the Job Information History UI. You must now use the Hire Date Correction tool to update the hire date of a user in the following scenarios:

• Changing past and present dated hire dates to the future, to today, or into the past
• For Onboarding new hires (once they have passed the Pending Hire stage in the Manage Pending Hires tool)
• For users with concurrent employment
• Target population permissions can be applied to restrict the creation of hire date corrections for users within this target population

• In case you face any of the limitation scenarios (mentioned in the KBA 2636395), where the Hire Date Correction tool cannot be used, the hire date can be changed via a Job Information Full Purge Import.
