It is a common issue that evaluation or follow-up surveys are not being added to items when being updated via the item connector. The issue is that the Item Connector job completes successfully without any errors or exceptions but the Level1 and Level2 surveys have not been added to the item as expected.

Reproducing the Issue
- Populate the item_data.txt input file with the required fields (as defined in the Connectors Workbook)
- Populate the LEVEL1_SURVEY & LEVEL3_SURVEY fields
- Place input file on SFTP
- Run Item Connector
- Item is not updated with the Surveys referenced in item_data.txt file
The reason why the item is not getting updated is because the item's revision date was not present in the item_data.txt file. As well as the other required fields and the survey columns, the column REV_DTE also needs to be included in the input file, and the field populated with item's exact revision date. This revision date needs to match the latest revision date of the item concerned and is also in the correct format stipulated in the Connectors Workbook.

What is misleading is that REV_DTE is not listed as a required field in Connectors Workbook and the connector job completes successfully when this REV_DTE is not present. This means if the REV_DTE is not included that other fields in for that item record will still be updated as it will update the most recent revision of the item. If the most recent REV_DTE is not included, however, the survey fields mentioned above will not be updated for the item.
