You have enabled the extension scenario from invoice request general to customer invoice item. But when invoicing the outbound delivery invoice request, the extension field filled in the outbound delivery invoice request is not carried to the customer invoice item level. It however works for manual invoice request.
Reproducing the Issue
You have enabled the following extension scenarios for your extension field.
Invoice Requests - General Information to Customer Invoice - General Information
Invoice Requests – General Information to Customer Invoice – Item
- Go to the Customer Invoicing work center.
- Go to the Invoice Requests view.
- Find the outbound delivery invoice request and ensure that the extension field is filled.
- Click Invoice and save the invoice, the extension field is copied to the invoice general but it is missing in the invoice item level. So the extension scenario: Invoice Requests – General Information to Customer Invoice – Item does not work.
For the extension scenario, Invoice Request General information to Customer Invoice Item to work, you will need to have the extension scenario Sales Order General Information to Invoice Request General Information active. Then on the Sales Order gerneral information screen, the extension field will be filled out. This field will be available on the item level of the Customer Invoice through the use of the extenstion scenario mentioned.
Since the manual invoice request has no preceeding document like sales order, the extension field on the manual Iivoice request could be taken ino the customer invoice item level.
You need to enable the extension scenario: Sales Order General Information to Invoice Request General Information.
