2269940 - How to pre-configure and set a user's default Language

Symptom

Language Preferences are configured under Options -> Change Language.

How do we set the Default Language before the user logs in?

Environment

  • SuccessFactors HCM Suite 1511

Resolution

The user's Default Locale or Language preferences are part of their Basic User Info and can be set via Basic User import.

 

To View the current user's locales:

  1. Go to Admin Center
  2. Run "Employee Export"
  3. Click "Export Employee File".

 

The report will indicate each user's locale setting under the column "Default_Locale".

To, make the necesary change to the user's locale:

  1. Go to Admin Center
  2. Run "Import Employee Data"
  3. Download a blank CSV template -> Basic Import
  4. Import the corrected data
