You want to reflect the Sales Activity of an existing opportunity which are maintained in the Business Configuration for the Sales Cycle.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the New Business work center.
- Go to the Opportunities vew.
- Show All Opportunities.
- Search for the Opportunity ABC (ABC represents the ID of the Opportunity).
- Click the Edit button.
- Go to the Sales Activities tab.
Here you are not able to see the Suggested Activities table.
The Sales Activity of an existing opportunity will always reflect the Business Configuration settings for the Sales Cycle which was active at the time when the opportunity was created.
The reason for this is the following:
When you create an opportunity and select the Sales Cycle, the system will determine the information displayed in the Sales Activity tab according to the settings maintained in the Business Configuration.
Since the Sales Cycle cannot be edited after creating an opportunity (which is also the standard system behaviour) the changed settings in the Business Configuration regarding the Sales Cycle cannot be updated in the opportunity.
This is the expected system behaviour.
