2258591 - Notification editor: Error when trying to preview email

Admin unable to preview e-mail after editing the template in the New Notification Editor and receives an error.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. System Administration > Manage e-mail > e-mail Notification Templates >
2. Open in Edit mode the Template in question (pencil icon) >
3. Go to the Messages tab and Launch the Notification Template Editor by clicking in "Launch Editor" >
4. Make the changes that you wish to for the respective template and hit "Save" >
5. Click "Send Preview" option to check if the changes made are correct >
6. The following error appears: "You cannot preview e-mail since you do not have an e-mail address configured".

The Learning admin making these changes does not have an e-mail address configured for his admin.

1. Access Learning administration >
2. Navigate to System Administration >
3. Security >
4. Administrators >
5. Search for the admin in question (yourself) and click the edit icon (little pencil) >
6. Note that the field "e-mail address" is empty:

The resolution is to add a valid e-mail id for the admin account in Learning. Once this is done, the admin will be able to Send a preview e-mail for the edited template through the New Notification Editor.

3. Security >
4. Administrators >
5. Search for the admin in question (yourself) and click the edit icon (little pencil) >
6. Find and fill the e-mail field.

Note: This process takes into account that the Global Learning emailing is enabled in the Global Application Settings (Learning admin side > System Administration > Configuration > Global Application Settings > Mail > Enable e-mail). See the related links in "See Also" topic.
