In time off when a user edits an existing absence there is a warning message triggered by a take rule that should not show.
Reproducing the Issue
- Log into the instance
- Go to Employees Files
- Select Time off
- Scroll down to My requests
- Click Edit for one of the existing requests
- Enter an Actual Return date
You will see that a warning error message appears You can update only the 'Actual Return Date'
Looking at the Take Rule you will see that one of the IF conditions is set on the field comments.
The comment field is currently not supported in simulation scenarios, as it is not send to the server.
This is expected behavior for Time Off. As solution please do not use the comments field in the IF condition of your take rule.
An enhancement is expected to be deployed with the 1602 release with Enhancement ECT-45236 but please review the release notes for 1602 for confirmation
