When an employee is adding a dependent in Personal information, selecting Edit and entering all required information on the initial screen and hitting Save, only the Relationship field is saved. First name, Last name and DOB are blank.
This is only an issue when proxying as an employee, not when logged in as admin user.
Reproducing the Issue
Proxy as employee
Navigate to Personal information > Dependent > Edit
Enter required data on initial screen and select Save
Only the Relationship field is saved:
In relation to the first and last name fields, make sure the following permissions are set:
Navigate to Admin Tools > Manage permission Roles >select appropriate permission role
Select Employee Central Effective Dated Entities > Under Personal Information select the options for Personal Information Actions "View Current", "View History" & "Edit/Insert" and save changes.
You should now be able to see the First and Last name showing after saving the details.
With regards the permissions for the DOB field:
Admin Tools > Manage Permission Roles >select appropriate permission role
Select Employee data > Under HR Information go to Biographical Information, Select both View AND Edit permissions
After saving changes you should now be able to see all fields after saving on dependents portlet:
If customer does not want to change permissions there is a workaround:
If you select Edit on the dependents portlet > select Details and then enter the data:
Select Save and the information is saved correctly with all fields showing on the UI:
