    • Use a Salesforce Security Token, or
    • Add the IP Address of the computer where the application is installed, to the Salesforce.com Trusted IP Range.

    7. When connecting to Salesforce.com from an external application, like Crystal Reports, concatenate the password with the security token to login.

          For example:

           If your password = "mypassword"
           Your security token = "XXXXXXXXXX"
You must enter "mypasswordXXXXXXXXXX" in place of your password

      Note:
      - You do not enter a Security Token in place of your password when logging into salesforce.com via a browser, it is only required when using an external application like Crystal Reports.
