2232713 - Error: You cannot assign the position you have selected as higher-level position when trying to make changes to an existing Position

When editing a Position, you encounter the following error-:

You cannot assign the position you have selected as higher-level position. It is already used as a lower-level position in the hierarchy

Whenever we are trying to make any change in existing position getting below error.

"You can't assign this position you have selected as higher level position . It is already used as a lower - level position in the hierarchy .

Admin center --> Employee Files --> manage positons --> search for any postion --> make any change will get below error .

There is a position hierarchy cycle i.e a loop in the position hierarchy is formed .

example the parent of CEO_MAG is CEO_MAG . Please change the parent position .

Please make the changes for all the position where the parent is same as the current position . 

Below is the screen shot which shows the parent and child Positions are same, causing the hierarchy to cycle (loop).
