The category value shoud not be available while creating a New Task but available in advance search of the activity screen.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Activities Work Center.
- Go to the Task View.
- Click on New button to create new Task
- Click on dropdown value selection in Category field
You will be not able to see your restrict value in the field category.
The system works as expected. This is the designed behavior of the system
In the category field if code List restriction is maintained, restrictions will be applied in all the Screens such as search(OWL), Create(QC) and Maintainence(TI) for a business role defined. There is no way to define code list restriction only for a specific screen.
