When users access their Employee Profile, they cannot see their direct reports, peers and/or manager in the Employee Profile search.
SuccessFactors Employee Profile
The Organization Chart Navigation Permission controls the hierarchy that appears in the Employee Profile search. Therefore, if the user’s hierarchy is not appearing in the Employee Profile, the most likely cause is that the user does not have the necessary Organization Chart Navigation Permission.
To solve this issue, you would need to grant appropriate Organization Chart Navigation permission for the user. Please note that this permission also controls the target population that the user will be able to access in the Company Org Chart.
To grant permissions, you would need to follow the below steps:
- Go to Admin Center > Set User Permissions > Manage Permission Roles.
- Select the permission role to which you need to grant the permission. A common use case is to grant this permission to a role that grants the employee basic access over all users.
- Click on “Permission…” > select the “General User Permission” > enable the “Organization Chart Navigation Permission”.
- Save the changes.
After applying this change, the employee should be able to see his hierarchy within the Employee Profile search.
Note: You may need to log out of the instance for the RBP (Role-Based Permission) changes to take effect.
