Resolution

Recruiting uses route maps to determine the approval path of a new requisition. The user who creates the requisition completes initial data and then sends the requisition to the user who owns the next step. That user reviews the requisition, may add or adjust requisition data and then sends the requisition to the user who owns the next step.

Route maps are a Platform feature, so not all route map functionality applies to Recruiting.

When configuring a route-map map approval chain within Recruiting Module, you must select the operators which will be part of the approval.

By the time you are filling out the form, in order to submit a requisition for approval,  you must inform which user(s) will be on each operator step, so that the requisition be sent to the referred user.

It is not possible for a user to receive a requisition form for approval, without being associated/declared as an operator or relational operator of the Requisition.

When building the requisition route map stages, within admin tools → Company Settings → Manage Route Map, consider that you also have the two selectable options: Iterative (which allows the form to loop between 2 or more users) or Collaboration (which allows a simultaneous edit and view by 2 or more users).

The route map follows the main operator (based on role code) declared in the Manage Route Map and not the operator team linked in the requisition.

There is no defined limit on the number of approvers that can be included in the job requisition approval workflow. If no route map is linked in the job requisition, the system will create an "Alternate Route User Step" where the originator/creator will own this step.

Recruiting is only using Modify stage in approval. Signature and Completion stage is used by other modules.

Note: The Route map works using the operator role of the requisition, if a user on the requisition has multiple roles on the requisition and the roles are associated to the route map the user will be expected to approve each step of the approval process.
