Unable to find Position during Hire/Rehire process, but the Position is visible in the Job Info History and MSS UI pages

Position is missing a Company (Legal Entity) value
- Add a Company (Legal Entity) value to the Position
- Make the "Company" field on the Position object a mandatory field
All Positions should have a Company (Legal Entity) value specified. During the New Hire / Re Hire wizard, you specify both Start Date and Company first. The system will always display Positions based on the Company selection made.
This is also regardless of whether you have Admin Tools > Position Management Settings > UI Customizing > "Use Company Filter for Positions in MSS Job Information and History" set to "NO"
As per the tooltip for this switch - If you want to filter positions by company in the MSS Job Information and history you need to set the value to Yes. If you select No, the positions will still be filtered by company in the hire process
