You would like to associate an opportunity with a sales order, but the Sales Order field within the opportunity is read only.
Reproducing the Issue
Step by step:
- Go to the Sales work center.
- Select the Opportunities view.
- Open a random opportunity.
- Click the Edit button.
- You see that the Sales Order field is read only.
This is the current expected system behaviour.
You have to add the respective sales order in the Quick create window, while creating a new opportunity, if you want to associate an opportunity with an already existing sales order.
