2193381 - Error HDB 02072: Cannot execute the query: query statement length exceeds engine capacities

• When grouping a field in the selection screen, the error "Error HDB 02072: Cannot execute the query: query statement length exceeds engine capacities" is thrown after selecting a number of records to group on.

This issue can occur if too many records have been selected to group on.  Each field selected increases the length of the query sent to the engine - and if too many fields are selected then the resulting query will exceed the capabilities of the engine.

• Unfortunately there is currently no solution to this as this is a limitation of the product.  The only solution currently is to reduce the number of records being grouped on
