Goal Plan fields not visible on the PM form.

Goal Management

Performance Management

There are two possible causes.

  1. Role permissions set on goal plan
  2. Incorrect xml configuration on the goal plan xml

  1. Check the goal plan configuration to ensure the roles (E, EM, EH etc.) configured with read/write permission have been correctly set.
  2. If the goal plan fields are visible on the goal plan in the Goals tab, they are not visible on the PM form then..
  • Export the affected goal plan xml from provisioning and confirm if the required code exists in the form-layout.
  • As this is a goal plan field permission on the PM form, we need to scroll down to the bottom of the goal plan xml. Then we will find <form-layout> section.
  • In the <form-layout> section we can add the goal plan fields which we want to add on the PM form.
  • For example if we want to add “Start” field on the PM form, then we need to add the below code in the form layout section.
  • <td width=”20%”>#if($display.start) <b>${label.start} :</b>#end</td>
  • Save the goal plan template and import it back.

Then we can find the ‘Start’ goal-plan field on the PM template.

Note: For the list of supported XML configuration changes in the Goal plans, please refer to this article: 2250190 - SCR Form: XML Software Change Request for Goal Plans - Goal Management

XML changes to the goal plan template will automatically apply to all live PM forms.
