Whenever a user is deactivated in LMS and the user connector runs to import the user back to LMS, the user connector throws exception saying:
The User ID does not exist but an old record exist for this User ID. This means that this User existed at some point and has been deleted. You may not re-use this User ID for a new User.

When user is deactivated, it does not get deleted from the databse. As a result, when the connector is run with the inactive user, it fails to upload/import data in the system as the entry already exist in the database.
In order to reinstate the user in the system, set the "connector.deletedUser.reincarnate" field to true/Y for the User Connector / SF User Connector / Federal User Connector and then run the connector again with the feed file.
Please find below the steps to navigate to the settings:
- Login as admin
- Navigate to System Admin > Configuration > System Configuration > CONNECTORS
- Search for "connector.deletedUser.reincarnate" field for the User Connector and set it to "Y".
- Click on "Apply Changes" and then run the connector again with the feed file.
