Symptom
User has requested approval for a course in Learning, but it has recently been assigned a new manager. The former manager is the one that still has to perform the approval.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Cause
When manually selecting the user's new manager, the "Re-Route Approvals" prompt that gives the option to reroute the approvals to the new manager was ignored.
When using the User Connector | User Connector – SF to change the manager, the related connector configuration lines to reroute the pending approvals when the manager changes were not enabled.
Resolution
When manually selecting the user's new manager, properly perform the approvals reroute when the "Re-Route Approvals" prompt appears. If required, this action can be done to adjust any pending approval that is not under the appropriate manager. It is recommended to test it first in Learning stage, then apply it in Learning prod.
For the User Connector | User Connector – SF, have the related configuration lines correctly set, so the reroute takes place. Sample connector configuration lines: user.connector.defaultValue.supervisorReRouteItemApprovals | sfuser.connector.defaultValue.supervisorReRouteItemApprovals.
