By design, using Stack Ranker to rate employees in a Performance Review form can’t update the rating shown in the related Compensation Form unless there is a manual change or the PM form is routed.
Performance and Goals.
The Stack Ranker is a tool designed to update the Competency Goals ratings only, not the Overall ratings, so changes done with Stack Ranker have no direct impact on the Compensation worksheets. When that happens, there is no error on the Stack Ranker tool. In this case it is being used for a functionality it is not designed for.
It does not calculate and update the DataBase with the Overall Rating as the Overall rating is related to both objective and competency sections. To calculate the overall rating, the system should parse the Performance Management form for each person who is included in the Stack Ranker page, and this might cause performance issues in the system, so this functionality is not considered by design.
The only ways to update the Overall Rating in the Compensation worksheet when using Stack Ranker are:
- Routing the Performance Form to the next step.
- Adding a change in the Performance form manually after Stack Ranker has been used and saving the form.
- Using the Open & Save functionality in Admin Tools for the Performance Form.
