2162186 - Time Type Category (Classification) Attendance is missing-EC-TimeOff

Symptom

While trying to create a time type in time-off for time sheet, the time type categroy is missing from the drop down list.

In time type creation, the Field Category(Classification) should have drop down list with options such as Absence, Attendance, On Call, Break and No selection.

Now only Absence is available and nothing else can be selected since there is no drop-down list, only on fixed value: Absence.

There should be option Attendance for Time Sheet creation.

Reproducing the Issue

Go to Manage Time off Structures admin tool -> select Time Type

Resolution

 Time type is created in the Admin Tools -> manage data or Manage time off structures -> time type.

 In the Time Type, Configure Object Definition the field "category" was having Read Only visibility.

 Change it to Editable.

 

 

Change the category field's visibility to Editable as shown below:

After change the Time type looks like below in Edit mode, and has values in classification drop down.

Time type category Attendance is used for timesheet and Absence for time-off feature in Employee Central.

Same time type cannot be used for both timesheet and time-off.
