2157743 - How to Enable MDF- based New Hire Activity

Symptom

  • With 1411 release the NewHireActivities based on MDF is default for new customers.
  • Customers who are live with release 1408 still maintain their NewHireActivities in the KMS panels. If they decide to use the new MDF based UI we have to migrate data of the KMS activities to the new MDF objects.
  • Onboarding instances created after Dec 2014, the option "enable MDF-based new hire activity" should be enabled when Onboarding is enabled. If not, we cannot manually enable it later, but create a JIRA ticket for migration script.

Environment

  • Onboarding (DC and Legacy customers.)

Resolution

  1. The check box cannot be checked manually from provisioning.

      2.  A COSR JIRA ticket (internal ticket) needs to be created to run the migration script.

    Pre-requisite:
  1. Account ID:
  2. Range in days(New Hires to be migrated.): Ex - 60: (a range of 60 would migrate information for all new hires who started in the last 60 days, or in future.)
  3. If range not specified, default range is used which is 30 days.
  4. Include Client and Engineering confirmation information i nthe COSR ticket

Once the script runs successfully, the option is enabled. ETA for this request is 2-4 business days.
