2146039 - Don’t send emails older than (in days) - Recruiting Management

Symptom

What is the "Don’t send emails older than (in days)" parameter ?

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Environment

SuccessFactors Recruiting Management - All versions

Resolution

  • The parameter “Don’t send emails older than (in days)” in admin tools > manage recruiting settings is a mandatory field. It is used to avoid sending emails older than a certain number of days. This may happen if the email job fails, and the emails are held in a queue. Should the job start again, it would release the emails in the queue. However this parameter will only keep emails x# of days old in the queue.
  • PLEASE NOTE: this field was introduced later than other parameters in the same page. If this is not valued like:

Then it is strongly recommended to add a number (of days for the delay). Without this number disqualification emails could not work properly.

Also trying to save other parameters without filling the Don’t send emails older than (in days) will cause this error message:
