You are not able to create a manual credit memo and assign this to the project task under revenue assignment tab.
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Customer Invoicing work center
- Go to the common tasks view choose New Manual Credit memo.
- Choose account ABC. (ABC represents account ID)
- Choose the button View all and go to Items tab, add product XYZ. (XYZ represents product ID)
- In product details view navigate to Revenue Assignment tab
- Choose Account Assignment type as PRO-Project Task.
- Choose the value help from project task.
- Here no records are found.
In the system, currently there are no projects created with the project type: Direct cost projects.
It is possible to create a manual credit memo or invoice and assign a project task (migrated or not) under revenue assignment but not for all type of projects. You can only use projects of type Direct Cost Project. System is behaving as designed.
