Create a Scheduled Offering or Other item classification and setting the approval process as required. Users are not getting prompted "Request Approval" when selecting the item from the catalog.
SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS)
LMS does not support Approval Process with Scheduled Offering at the item level but only for registration of the Scheduled Offering segment. "Other" type items are not supported with to have an Approval Process. The LMS system only supports Request for Approval for Online Only and Blended item types.
If you are using a Blended item, set the item to have a content object that can be launched. The Blended item then cannot have an upcoming Scheduled Offering segment, as then the Approval Process will be triggered for the user when registering for the segment and not the item.
Please make sure to change on the Item level the "User can access online content without being registered in a scheduled offering", otherwise the Blended item is seen as a Scheduled Offering.
