2115632 - Information Regarding On Premise Support for Former Plateau Customers - Platform Services and Tools


  • Shortly after SuccessFactors acquired Plateau Systems in 2011, it was announced that SuccessFactors would continue to support Plateau’s on premise customers for five years (until August, 2016) while they made the transition to the Cloud. Since we are coming close to the end date, we want to let all customers know what they can expect as we near this deadline:

All releases and maintenance patches to the current release are made available to both our SaaS and on premise/hosted SuccessFactors Learning customers. All releases and maintenance patches are cumulative and it is expected that all customers will deploy all releases and maintenance patches as they become available.    


After August 31, 2015:

The August, 2015 release will be the last full release that will be made available to on premise/hosted SuccessFactors Learning customers. After this date, only periodic maintenance patches for the August, 2015 release will be made available to on premise/hosted Learning customers. No new enhancements will be provided to on premise/hosted Learning customers.


After August 31, 2016 (End of Maintenance):

On-premise/hosted Learning customers can continue to call customer support but no new maintenance patches will be issued to on premise/hosted SuccessFactors Learning customers. Any customer that requires a code update/change would need to contract with our professional services organization.


After August 31, 2017 (End of Life):

No support is offered for on premise/hosted installations of SuccessFactors Learning.


Note Regarding Legacy Plateau Talent Management Modules

Currently, support is still provided for customers who are using legacy Plateau Talent Management modules, although no new enhancements are being made to these modules. We encourage all customers to transition to the corresponding SuccessFactors Talent Management module as soon as possible. In the meantime, the end of maintenance and end of life schedule for these modules will follow the same dates outlined above.
