2113245 - FIFO Cost Determination - 'No Valid Cost Accumulation Exists For Material with stock quantity ABC'

After you executed a FIFO Cost Determination Run for some materials, error messages appear stating 'No valid cost accumulations exist for XYZ (XYZ represents the material ID) with stock quantity ABC (ABC represents the stock quantity)'.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to Inventory Valuation work center.
2. Go to FIFO Cost Determination view.
3. Show all FIFO Cost Determination Runs and select the one that has the errors.
4. In the Processed with Errors tab as well as in the Messages tab you will see the error message mentioned.

'No valid cost accumulations exist for XYZ with stock quantity'

In the Run Parameters you selected Company Level in the Calculate FIFO Cost Based On field. The respective material(s) for which the error is displayed is a case of intercompany transfer of material (goods transfer), which is not picked when the run is executed at Company Level for the valuation selection.  When Company Level is selected, this kind of transfer on valuation of materials is not considered for FIFO Cost Determination Run.

You need to execute the run using Business Residence Level for the valuation selection.

1. Go to Inventory Valuation work center.
2. Go to FIFO Cost Determination  view.
3. Create a new FIFO Cost Determination Run.
4. Fill the necessary data and in the Calculate FIFO Costs Based On field select Business Residence Level.
5. Execute your run and check the results.
