2103369 - Benchmarks not appearing - Workforce Analytics

Symptom

  • A benchmarked Workforce Analytics metric does not display benchmark figures, either overall or for an organisation’s correct Industry, Region and/or Size.

Cause

Benchmarks can only be displayed if a minimum number of companies or more are contributing their results to the calculation, to protect individual companies’ data.  (The minimum number of companies is less than ten.)  If a benchmark is showing for a measure when no filter is applied, then the number of organizations is above the minimum, but this will not necessarily be the case if an Industry, Region or Size filter is applied, effectively selecting a subset of the organizations.

Additionally, benchmarks are only calculated for calendar years.

Resolution

  • Check that you have Time Periods set to Calendar Year. 
  • Check the standard measure page for the measure, again in Calendar Year.  If benchmarks do not appear, no benchmarks are available.  If benchmarks do appear, try switching the Benchmark settings on the left to your chosen Industry, Year or Size.  If the benchmarks disappear again, they are not available for this category.
