2089497 - TIMEZONE Column and Supported International Time Zone Codes - Platform

Symptom

  • What are the supported time zones in the SuccessFactors Application?
  • What values can go in TIMEZONE column of user import file?

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Resolution

  • The SuccessFactors Application uses the field "TIMEZONE" in your user import file to determine the timezone of each user within the system, and will adjust displayed and reported times relative to their timezone/locale.

  • In the list attached, change the locales in your user import files to the values shown for the Timezone ID column. This document provides a list of timezones available in the SF system.

Timezone Logic:

  • SAP SuccessFactors is using timezones defined in the Java Platform.
  • The Java Platform uses the IANA timezones: http://www.iana.org/time-zones
  • Hence SAP SuccessFactors is using the standard universal timezones defined by IANA.
  • The values to be imported are case-sensitive and must align with the guide below.
If the case-sensitity is not adhered to, the default timezone will be applied to users.

Current timezone list:

It is not possible to get all the available timezones used in SuccessFactors using adHoc or using import/export data.
Here you can find attached the list of Timezones available in SuccessFactors provided by our Development team.

See the following for a details overview on the Supported Time Zone Values
