  • How to change password policy settings?

Environment

  • BizX Platform

Resolution

  • To validate a company’s password policy settings:

    Go to Admin Center > Company Settings > Password & Login Policy Settings

    You will now see displayed the password options including:
     
  • Minimum Length
  • Maximum Length
  • Maximum Password Age (in days) (Set to -1 keep passwords from expiring (not recommended))
  • Maximum Successive Failed Login Attempts (Set to 0 will disable this option; The system will lock a user account if successive failed login attempts exceeds what the policy allows, within a 1-minute period.)
  • Case Sensitive (recommended) (Changing this option will force all users to change their passwords)
  • Mixed Case required (Will be ignored if Case Sensitive is not checked)
  • Non-alpha characters required
  • Enforce Password Encryption (Turning this option OFF from ON will force all users to change their passwords. Turning this option ON will disable the Forgot Your Password feature for password retrieval through emails.
  • Enable Forget Password feature
  • Specify the forget password feature you would like to use. You can only select one.
  • Allow users to retrieve password through e-mail
  • Allow users to retrieve passwords by providing an e-mail address
    This option lets users enter their e-mail address to reset their password.
  • Allow the system to generate a new temporary password for the user
  • Specify whether the system will generate a new temporary password and e-mail it to the user. Note: This option only applies if you’re using the Forgot Your Password feature.
  • Reset passwords using security questions accessed through e-mail link
  • Provide security question and answer combination that help the system verify user identities.
  • This option lets users receive an e-mail with a link to reset their password after answering the security questions correctly.
