- If a manager has recently left your company, you will need to reflect that change so your employees have the correct new manager in your system. We will show how to quickly do that and also how to transfer related documents like To Do lists etc.
- How do I update a employee's manager? When I use the 'Manage Users' section, it doesn't seem to automatically transfer forms and documents.
- If you use the 'Manage Users' functionality, associated documents will not be transferred. Because this is usually something you would want to transfer along with an updated manager, we reccomend the following path to resolution:
1.) Go to the 'Old Admin' tools.
2.) Select 'Document Transfer' within 'Manage Users' Section at the top.
3.) Within the screenshot below, detail the previous manager, who the new manager should be, and select the appropriate documents to transfer to the new manager on the bottom. This way you can both update the manager and automatically route associated documents at the same time! Note: be sure you are using the correct SF-based usernames and not jbob@xyzcompany.
