2088012 - I just received an email message stating "File not found on FTP server", what does this mean?

Symptom

  • I just received an email message stating "File not found on FTP server", what does this mean?

Environment

  • BizX Platform

Resolution

If you have an FTP process enabled to do user imports you may receive a message stating the following: "File not found on FTP server".

This commonly has three main causes:

  • The file was never sent to the FTP server
    • If the file was never sent to the FTP server then you will need to sent the file, we can then have the file picked up and processed.

  • The file sent to the FTP server was named incorrectly.
    • If the file was named incorrectly we will need to investigate why it was named incorrectly and have that corrected, either on the Client side or the SuccessFactors side. We can correct the naming and have the file picked up and processed.

  • The file was sent later than the expected pickup time
    • We can pick the file up and process it properly.

In all three instances you will need to open a case with SuccessFactors Customer Success to have the file picked up and processed, if need be.

* Please note: Beginning August 1, 2014 SucessFactors will only support SFTP and HTTPS. Please click here for additional information.*
