2087879 - Email Notifications: Spam Quarantine Notification emails going to customers - BizX Platform

Symptom

  • Spam quarantine notifications may show up in your inbox. This article explains why.
  • Why do I receive SuccessFactors Spam Quarantine Notifications?

  • SuccessFactors employs a Spam handling utility at the corporate level.

  • SuccessFactors also maintains a number of email group addresses that contain customer email addresses. Clients have opted into these email aliases to receive notifications about processes and events of interest to them.

  • Example: Customer-Email-General and     Customer-Immediate-Alert-DB1

    • The Notification email lists the group in the To: When we get a global spam email, the utility notifies everyone in the group, not just the ones that have successfactors.com email domains.  This is the correct behavior as the message applies to all in the group and we could not automatically assume a non-SuccessFactors alias should not be notified in all cases as we have many non-SuccessFactors aliases that do require notification.

Resolution

  • There is no rule or logic that could be applied to prevent any single person from being excluded. You can open a case with SuccessFactors and ask that your e-mail be removed from the distribution list so as to not get any emails at all from this alias if you no longer need to get this type of notification. If you do wish to remain in the distribution list, then we recommend you simply add a filter rule on the client end to reject all "Spam Quarantine" notifications coming from the FROM: alias you see in the email.
