When you edit your profile, under the section Office Information you're presented with the option to select an existing office location from a drop-down menu, or add a new location. When a new location is added, it automatically forms a group, and anyone selecting that location will automatically follow that group. This not only allows you to keep track of how many employees work at a given location, but you can also message everyone at that location regardless of whether they are following you or not.
Location groups aren't listed with the rest of your groups under the group tab - they can only be found in the company groups through the company tab.

Only photos uploaded from home feeds, user profiles or public groups will be listed here. Any polls created in a private group or private cross company group will not be visible in this list.
