2087294 - Admin Tools: Route Maps - Negative Impacts of Changing Route Map Step Name After Forms Have Been Launched - BizX Platform

Symptom

  • Changing a Route Map Step Name after forms have been launched can have 2 negative impacts.
    1. It breaks Form Status Aggregate Report - Progress bars disappear.
    2. It impacts dashboard portlet "Form Status Grouped by Workflow" - You end up seeing 2 slices for the same step in the pie chart.

Environment

  • BizX Platform

Resolution

  1. Changing a step name once forms have been launched can cause problems for reporting form status progress using the portlet "Form Status Grouped by Workflow". available in Dashboards
Example: Your Route Map has a step called "Goal Setting". You launch forms to 100 users.
  • You now change the step to "Objective Setting". Launch form to another 100 users.
  • You go to Dashboards > portlet "Form Status Grouped by Workflow".
  • In the pie chart you now see a slice for the old name "Goal Setting" and a slice for "Objective Setting".
  • This occurs as you have 200 forms, 100 with a step called Goal Setting, and the other 100 with a step called Objective Setting.

  1. Changing a step name once forms have been launched causes My Forms > Form Status > Aggregate Report to break. Progress bars are no longer visible for some forms.

Example: Your Route Map has a step called "Goal Setting". You launch forms to 100 users.

  • You now change the step to "Objective Setting". Launch form to another 100 users.
  • You go to My Forms > Form Status > Aggregate Report
  • Some columns have no progress bar
  • The system uses the current name of steps defined in your route map for the forms being reported on. You will note that the columns are titled using the current route map titles. Only the forms that were launched using these titles will correctly show progress bars.
  • To have this issue resolved you could delete one set of forms and relaunch, making sure the route map reflects the titles of the forms you will be keeping. All forms would now reflect the same step names.
  • If this is not a feasible option, you could submit a case to SuccessFactors customer support. This will require that you identify all document IDs for forms that would require correcting
