2085463 - Org units at top level - Succession

  • Why does a parent-child org structure show some units at the top level which should be appearing elsewhere within the tree?

  • Succession Management

  • In a parent-child hierarchy, the unit at the very top has no parent.  Other units will "fall out of the tree" and appear at the top level if their parents are missing or not read in correctly from the data.
  • If this is happens, check the extract data if possible to see whether there is a valid record which links the misplaced unit to a parent.  If there is no such record, it will need to be added for the unit to take its rightful place.  If there is a record, check with Customer Success to see why the information is not being utilised.
