How you can configure Highlight Key/Critical Positions in the Succession Org Chart
SuccessFactors Succession Management
If the key/critical position option have been enabled, users can select from the display options to highlight key/critical positions—or, more accurately, “dim out” non-key/critical positions, so they can focus on planning just for the more important positions.
To have this Highlight Key/Critical Position as display option in your Succession Org Chart you will need to follow the below process.
1. Go to Admin Center > Succession > Position Management: Position Set up > Choose and Save your settings.
- If you choose ‘Yes, boolean (yes/no)’ option, positions are either key/critical or non-key/critical positions, so either highlighted or dimed-out.
- If you choose ‘Yes, with rating scale:’ option, you will need to create, define and assign your rating scale and positions will be highlighted per selection.
2. Contact SuccessFactors Customer Success for them to add the necessary xml code in your ‘Org Chart configuration’ in Provisioning that will make this available in your Succession Org Chart.
Upon completion of steps 1 & 2, you’re now ready to identify your Positions if Key/Critical and Non-Key/Critical. You can do the identification via Export/Import or in Succession Org Chart ‘Show and Edit Position’ (only for MDF Position Nomination Method).
You can now easily identify Key/Critical Positions vs Non-Key/Critical Positions using your Succession Org Chart.
