- Succession Management
- In order to see the icons in the Succession Org Chart you need to be permissioned via "Succession Management and Matrix Report Permissions". If the employee does not fall into your reporting scope then you will not see succession data for that person.
- One thing to note is that the check boxes under "Relationship" limit access to what that user can see.
- A common permission set for a manager would be to select ALL for all the filtering sets, and then to select "My Team" from "Relationship". This will allow them to see across all filter options BUT only employees that fall under their team.
Some common elements that you may want to control visibility on the Succession Org Chart are:
- Key Position
- New to Position
- Impact of Loss
- Talent Pool
- Future Leader
- Reason for Leaving
Elements these permissions will not control on the org chart are:
Currently when you set permissions, it is applied to all elements based on your filter options in "Succession Management and Matrix Report Permissions" and not by role. For example: You cannot set access to Bench Strength for EM role, while restrict visibility for Talent Pool to EH.
Role based permissions to these elements can be controlled via the data model, but only apply to My Profile (Employee Profile) and not on the Succession Org Chart, therefore you may see values on the succession org chart that you do not see for a person via employee profile as the profile page respects the additional role based permissions that may be set.
