SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite (Employee Profile)
This article refers to the Linkedin Integration via a Standard Element (field) in the Employee Profile. For more information on the new LinkedIn widget (portlet) for the People Profile, please refer to 2507469 - Enabling Linkedin Widget for People Profile.
With this integration (standard element), you can click on the LinkedIn link (from the Employee Profile) to search for all users in LinkedIn.com with the same first, last name, company and email as the employee that you are looking for. To use this functionality you will need to have your Succession Data Model updated with the LinkedIn element. Please open a support ticket to submit a change request.
1. To enable LinkedIn Integration, include the standard element LinkedIn. You can include this element in the Live Profile, User Directory, or Photo card view-templates. Including this data element will cause the link "LinkedIn" to appear in the relevant place. You must provide the relevant permissions to allow Facebook to appear for users.

2. Add the field to the Employee Profile page. Go to Admin Center > Configure Employee Files > Edit Profile Page > Modify or add an existing custom portlet > From the User Fields dropdown select the LinkedIn field and save your new layout. > Save Dashboard to apply the update.
3. Grant permissions over the field. Go to Admin Center > Manage Permission Roles > select a permission role > click "Permission..." > Under "Employee Data", enable View permission for the field "LinkedIn" > Save.
Once the field is configured and permissions are granted, it'll display as a link in the Employee Profile. When the "LinkedIn" link is clicked on a person's profile page, you will be taken to LinkedIn and shown search results for people who match the First Last Name of the person whose profile you were viewing.
