Symptom

  • What are compensation plan management privileges and why do you need them?
    
     
  • SuccessFactors uses permissions to control access to data and system features. By default, all new employees have permission only to log into SuccessFactors and to see their Home page and forms.
     
     
  • To enable a manager access to compensation data as well as the right to make changes to compensation data, you need to explicitly grant compensation plan management privileges

Granting Compensation Plan Management Privileges
 

  • How do you grant compensation plan management privileges?

    Note For a manager to view compensation plans, you must grant them compensation management privileges.
     

    To provide compensation plan management privileges:

    1. From the Manage Security section, select Compensation Management Permission.

      The Manage Compensation Management Privileges page opens.
       

    2. Use the filters to define a group of users or individuals. You can filter by Division, Department, Location or Group.

      Note These filters work in conjunction with one another. This means that if you apply more filters, you'll get more specific results. For example, if you choose only Department, you'll find all users in the specified department in all locations. However, if you choose both Department and Location, you'll find users in the specified department only at the specified location.
       

    3. Click Grant Compensation Management Permission.
       
     
  • How do you revoke compensation plan management privileges?

     

          To revoke compensation plan management privileges:

  1. From the Manage Security section, select Compensation Management Permission.

    The Manage Compensation Management Privileges page opens.
     

  2. Use the filters to define a group of users or individuals. You can filter by Division, Department, Location or Group.

    Note These filters work in conjunction with one another. This means that if you apply more filters, you'll get more specific results. For example, if you choose only Department, you'll find all users in the specified department in all locations. However, if you choose both Department and Location, you'll find users in the specified department only at the specified location.
     

  3. Click Revoke Compensation Management Permission.

 

   Go to Admin Tools > Compensation Administration Permission > Manage Compensation Management Privileges > Select either

  • Manage Compensation Management permission security through groups of users.
     
  • Manage Compensation Management permission security through individual users.

   Use this page to grant and remove Compensation Management privilege of system users. Users with Compensation Management privilege will be able to perform various Compensation Management functions.
