- You have two different columns, one for the standard Salary (curSalary) and another field. You are importing the same value for both fields, but they don't both display the same on the worksheet.
You are importing the same value for both fields, but they don't both display the same on the worksheet.
For example, you import 10,000.60 into Salary as well as another field, say xyz.
On the worksheet Current Salary shows 10,000, whereas xyz shows 10,001. Why is this?
Current Salary has ignored the 60 cents whereas xys has rounded it to nearest dollar. Shouldn't both fields behave the same way based on same import value?
- This is happening because rounding is NOT applied to the Standard “SALARY” (column id curSalary)field. This field only follow the display rule i.e how many digits after decimal place should appear on the compensation form.
- We want to honor your import, if Salary was rounded, it might cause additional impact in the downstream calculation as curSalary is the base of all Compensation calculation. If you don't want to see the unrounded value then the recommendation is that you round these values before importing.
