Resolution

The following are the possible job postings types, with its description and the field control that must be configured in the Job Requisition XML Template, permissioning roles to Post and Edit Jobs:

Type of posting

Description

Field to control permission in the job requisition template

Internal career site

This allows the posting of a job requisition on the internal Career tab for internal BizX users (employees)

"intranetPosting"

External career site

This allows the posting of a job requisition to the external web site(s)

"corporatePosting"

Private posting internal

This allows the posting of a job requisition for private use for internal users (employees).

A privately posted job req will not appear in the search. The URL must be provided directly to the interested candidate. Any internal user with access to this URL will be able to apply to the job.

"intranetPrivatePosting"

Private posting external

This allows the posting of a job requisition for private use for external candidates.

A privately posted job req will not appear in the search. (Including RMK) The URL must be provided directly to the interested candidate. Any external user with access to this URL will be able to apply to the job.

"externalPrivatePosting"

Job boards

The job boards section is used to manage jobs posted to third party job boards via the eQuest integration. It is not possible to hide the Job Boards section

Agencies

This allows posting to the Agency portal.

There are two options: posting to all agencies or to post to specific agency. This is controlled by a setting in Provisioning > Company Settings > Enable Posting to specific agencies

"agencyPosting"

Please note the following:

  • Each of these types is controlled in the job requisition template. The definition for the field must be present and permissions per role must be specified.
  • If one type of posting is missed, work with SAP Consultants and Partners to have this configured and permissioned correctly. For additional information, please check article 2258199 or visit SAP Partner Portal to Find a Partner.
  • It is currently not possible to Hide sections present on Job Posting Page. If a role has permission to post Internal and External Jobs, per example, the user will also have the "Job Board" section always visible, even if Job Boards are not used.

 KBA_job Posting.jpg

  • All recruiting users will have the permission to view the Job Posting Page. This is currently not permissionable.
  • Posting Start Date is a mandatory field and will need to be filled in before the job can be posted.
  • It is not possible to make the Posting End Date field mandatory. Making this field required = true in the job requisition XML will not make this field mandatory.
  • It is not possible to make the Posting End Date field visible in the grid order of the career site (Internal and External Career Search Settings). Please see the existing enhancement request for this here.
  • It is not possible to re-post a job using the old Start Date. Once you remove the Job Posting, the Start Date will set as blank, and you are only able to select the current or a future Start Date.
  • The External Posting (corporate) URL will always be the URL for the posting in the RCM career site, even if RMK is setup for the environment.
  • It is currently not possible to make changes to the "Add Agencies" pop-up window such as adding a field (email, user, etc...).
