2078160 - Routing - Send Form Button Not Visible - Performance Management

Symptom

  • This Article describes how to check Exit Date in routing map when you are unable to send the form to the next step because the send to next step button is not available.
  • You are attempting to send a form to the next step but it will not allow the user to send the form to the next step before the dates that they have set in the route map. The send to next step button is not available.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Performance & Goals
  • Performance Management

Cause

You have entered values in the Exit date of the routemap.

Check the exit date and make sure it is not the same as the Due date and after the start date.

If you are using relative dates for form routing, attempting to move the form on a date before the configured offset will also cause the same issue (e.g. if you set the exit date to 5 days after form creation, the button will also be missing on days 1-4 after form creation.

Resolution

If the Exit Date is after the Start Date in the current route step, then the user cannot leave the current step until the Exit Date has been reached.  The “Send to Next” button will not be available until the Exit Date has been reached (or System Date = Exit Date).

Confirmation:

  1. Go to Admin Center > Manage Route maps
  2. Select the route map of the associated form
  3. Open the specific step with the issue where the form cannot be sent forward
  4. Check if there is a value on the exit date

For Launched forms:

  1. Go to Admin Center > Modify Form Route map
  2. Locate the form id or the template
  3. Open the specific step with the issue where the form cannot be sent forward
  4. Change the value for exit date to an earlier date or remove the date value altogether

For New forms:

  1. Go to Admin Center > Manage Route maps
  2. Select the route map of the associated form
  3. Open the specific step where the form cannot be sent forward
  4. Change the value for exit date to an earlier date or remove the date value altogether

For New forms with relative dates:

  1. Go to Admin Center > Manage Route maps
  2. Select the route map of the associated form
  3. Open the specific step where the form cannot be sent forward
  4. Remove the offset value for Exit Date, or set it to zero.
  5. For the offset type, choose Form Creation Date or Previous Step Exit Date
    • NOTE: If you're using the Previous Step Due Date offset, by default all relative route maps have to have at least a value of 1 on the Step Due Date. This means even if you set "0 Days After Previous Step Due Date," the previous step's due date is still 1 day after form creation date and will therefore lock the form until that date
  6. Save and launch your new form
